Award win: Westfield Health is the ‘number one choice’ for health cash plans

Westfield Health is the ‘number one choice’ for health cash plans according to judges at the prestigious Investment, Life and Pensions Moneyfacts Awards.

The not for profit company was awarded the ‘Best Health Cash Plan Provider’ award at a ceremony in London, beating a tough shortlist of competitors including WPA and BHSF. The awards are presented annually for product excellence and outstanding service.

Head of Sales David Carrick collected the award on behalf of Westfield Health. He said: “This is a great achievement for the whole Westfield Health team, which demonstrates how we’re continuing to exceed the expectations of our ever-changing cash plan customers – both corporate and consumer.

“It’s particularly pleasing to win this award at a time when Westfield Health is developing and implementing a new health and wellbeing strategy, which will see us moving into exciting new markets.”

Winners are selected by expert panels of financial advisors and researchers who thoroughly examine each provider’s product to reach their final decision.

The judges said: “Westfield Health continues to be the number one choice among advisers in the Best Health Cash Plan Provider category, winning this award for the sixth year running.

“Its simple but comprehensive propositions in both the individual and corporate heath cash plan markets, backed by a dedicated intermediary and account management team, have once again given Westfield Health the edge over its competitors.”

One of the UK’s leading health cash plan providers; Westfield Health has over 400,000 customers throughout the UK, and more than 8,000 organisations nationally give their employees access to Westfield Health’s health and wellbeing services.

The most popular benefit claimed for is dental, followed by optical, therapies and chiropody. A health cash plan is a form of health insurance in which the policyholder pays a premium each month and receives reimbursement for the cost of ‘everyday’ healthcare. Unlike Private Medical Insurance (PMI) there’s no excess to pay when you claim. For example, Westfield Health policyholders can claim back the cost of dental treatment, eye tests, physiotherapy, acupuncture etc, up to set limits.
