It is excellent to see that there has been a record number of entries to the 2009 Sheffield Business Awards, a true reflection of the grit and determination of our busnesses over the last twelve months and highlights that there has been some real positive stories in what has been one of the hardest years for the UK economy.

Sheffield business will be celebrating it's success on Thursday 3rd December at Ponds Forge. New awards such as the Williams Fasteners Excellence in Sports Service Award and the Sheffield NHS Healthy Business Award will be fought for, alongside the range of popoular categories, concluding with the Barclays Commercial Bank Outstanding Business of the Year Award.

There will be lots to celebrate on the evening and we await the shortlist with great anticipation.
