Terms & Conditions
1. Retirement of Members. Article 6(a) of the Chamber's Articles of Association states the following: "A member may terminate their membership giving notice in writing to the Chamber at least three months before the next membership fee becomes due. If no such notice is received the member will be liable for the ensuing year which shall be debt due to and legally recoverable by the Chamber."
2. Completion and signature of this application signifies acceptance that Sheffield Chamber of Commerce & Industry and/or subsidiaries can contact the member using the telephone, fax or e-mail details supplied. The application also signifies that the member agrees to contact Sheffield Chamber of Commerce & Industry if they register with the telephone or fax preference service (or its successors).
Application for Membership
I/We hereby make application to the Board of the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce & Industry for election to membership of that Chamber; and I/We truly and correctly give above the details required by the said Board for that purpose of application. If elected I/We agree to abide by the Chamber's Memorandum, Articles of Association and Bye-laws and during membership to pay the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce & Industry, at the time required, not less than the appropriate minimum annual business membership fee from time to time in force.
I/We hereby do undertake to contribute to the assets of the company, in the event of the same being wound up while I am/We are a member or within one year after ceasing to be a member, for payments of the debts and liabilities of the company and the costs, charges and expenses winding up, such amount as may be required up to, and not in the event exceeding, the sum of one pound (£1.00).
I/We hereby do agree that once we have resigned our membership that all stationery displaying the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce & Industry logo must be destroyed. Also the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce & Industry's Advice Line Service will be terminated and the card must be destroyed or returned to Sheffield Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and any advice sought after this date will be charged accordingly.
I, the undersigned, have completed this record to the best of my knowledge and ability and confirm that the information supplied is accurate at the date of completion. I understand and consent that the data supplied will be held on the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce & Industry's computerised database and that the data may be provided to third parties who are sourcing suppliers or who may contact this company with offers.
In support of this application I/We understand that the Chamber may request two references.
