The third annual Sheffield Business Week was the most successful yet…
Sheffield Chamber of Commerce’s major five-day business event was packed full of seminars, open days and workshops as well as a Members’ Evening hosted by one of Britain’s best loved historic houses and estates, Chatsworth House, in Derbyshire.
Delegate Mark Rendall of Whitehall Financial Independent Ltd said: “It was an excellent members evening and the attendees from our Sheffield and Derby offices thought the venue was wonderful. It was good for our profile.
“The evening was well organised and we were delighted with the good connections made.”
The members’ evening was a joint event organised by Sheffield, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chambers of Commerce and the first multi-chamber members’ evening Sheffield Chamber has been involved in.
A number of the Business Week’s events in 2007 drew double previous delegate numbers, including a seminar on employment law rules and regulations led by ACAS and Irwin Mitchell which attracted 50 per cent more people than a similar session in 2006.
Aiming to inform, update and develop the city business region, Business Week 2007 was supported by headline sponsor Galaxy Yorkshire and offered assistance to organisations of all shapes, sizes and sectors at venues across the city.
Chamber events and marketing manager Vernon Tolson said: “Organising and hosting Sheffield Business Week demonstrates our ongoing commitment to supporting businesses, whatever their size.
“We’re really pleased with the popularity of this year’s Business Week – it’s a strong indication of the business community’s keen enthusiasm for development and progress.”
