On Tuesday 6th May 2008, Brinsworth Training Ltd celebrated the launch of its two new divisions, Education and Corporate Conferencing, and the official opening of its conferencing facilities by the Rt Hon David Blunkett MP.

Taking centre stage alongside the Rt Hon David Blunkett MP was Yorkshire Forward's Engineering & Manufacturing Skills Champion Richard Wright and Brinsworth Training's director's, Mick Cattell and Mick Crossley. Among the guests we're the Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Councillor Arthur Dunworth, the Master Cutler, Gordon W Bridge and eighty VIP guests. Throughout the day the company opened its doors to a further fifty guests from local industry and careers service. The Lord & Lady Mayoress of Rotherham, Councilor Allan Jackson and Yvonne Jackson attended the open evening session.

Since opening its doors in 1999, Brinsworth Training Ltd has grown significantly and is extremely proud to have become recognised as a South Yorkshire's leading engineering and manufacturing training provider. 

To keep pace with the increasing demand for their workforce training solutions and apprenticeship programmes Brinsworth Training Ltd has doubled its workforce and has invested over £500,000 in the renovation and expansion of their existing workshop and training facilities during the past year. As a National Centre of Vocational excellence they provide training solutions on behalf of over 300 local companies and train apprentices on behalf of South Yorkshire's Learning & Skills Council, RWE Npower, National Grid, Royal Mail and Metskill. 

Passionate about providing hands-on, practical, flexible and affordable training that meetsthe needs of the learner, the employer and technological advancements required by the sector.  

Located on Sheffield Road in Rotherham, just off Junction 34 of the M1 motorway, Brinsworth Training's four divisions include; Education, Apprenticeship, Workforce Development and Corporate Conferencing. 

Their new Education Division offers Sheffield and Rotherham's 14 - 16 year old secondary school pupils the opportunity to experience working within the engineering and manufacturing sector, whilst working towards a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ).

In Jan 2008 the Education Division launched a new knowledge transfer pilot called SCHEME (Schools Helping Engineering & Manufacturing into Education). To promote the sector to its future workforce; Brinsworth Training, South Yorkshire's Army Careers Service and the Special Metals Forum (SMF) have developed a knowledge transfer pilot that highlights the careers available within the sector and supports the careers / work related learning curriculum to prepare young people for the 'Real World of Work'.  SCHEME is being piloted in twenty secondary schools across the region between Jan 2008 & June 2009.

From Sep 2008 the Education Division will be offering one hundred young people from Sheffield and Rotherham with the opportunity to work towards either an NVQ or an Engineering Diploma.

Their new competitively priced conference facilities includes high tech presentation equipment, 150+ conference room, a 30+ seater seminar room, seven 16 seater lecture rooms and has over 100 secure guest parking spaces.
