Friday, 21 September 2007
Small businesses in Sheffield can now log on to more than 140 e-learning courses, thanks to SENTA.

SENTA has teamed up with Learn Direct Business to provide clients with instant access to online courses covering all aspects of business and commerce.

The courses have been specially designed to provide the maximum support to SMEs and cover areas including law, health and safety, software and computing, management, people skills, planning and finance.

All the courses are pay-as-you-go and can be ordered from SENTA. Employers can order the courses for themselves or their employees and can track their progress throughout the learning process.

SENTA Enterprise Director Mandip Dosanjh said: “E-learning is extremely quick and easy to participate in. Its focused content is also better value for SMEs looking to broaden their skills range as there are no travel costs, it’s highly flexible and can be delivered on demand. These latest courses will really complement the vast portfolio already on offer.”

SENTA is part of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and provides fully integrated support to new business start-ups and businesses up to two years old. Its start-up programme is funded by Yorkshire Forward under contract with Business Link South Yorkshire.
