The Sheffield & Hallamshire County to sponsor the Junior Cup Print E-mail

The Sheffield & Hallamshire County Football Association has just confirmed a deal with a Sheffield business to sponsor the Junior Cup. The Cup is one of the oldest competitions in the region and is entered by over 100 grassroots men's teams affiliated to the County FA who regularly play football on Saturday's.

As part of the sponsorship deal the cup final will now be played at Owlerton Stadium, providing more hospitality facilities for both spectators and players alike.

Peter Winkler, Marketing Manger of Owlerton Stadium said "We are keen to support and play our part in investing in grassroots football. We are looking forward to staging the Cup Final and opening up our stadium to football fans. We want to work with the County FA and all the football clubs in the region and help with their fund raising activities and encourage them to visit Owlerton Stadium."

James Hope-Gill, the Chief Executive of Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA said "We are thrilled that Owlerton Stadium has agreed to invest in the County FA and recognizes the benefits of the supporting the Junior Cup competition.  I'm sure the exposure to the football community will benefit Owlerton and we are looking forward to Owlerton hosting the Cup Final."
