The ‘tricks of the trade’ will be up for grabs at drop-in sessions organised by South Yorkshire International Trade Centre (SYITC). Aimed at businesses considering overseas trade or those wishing to develop export strengths even further, ‘Trade Secrets’ are drop-in surgeries designed to answer all international trade related questions for businesses across South Yorkshire. Individual Trade Secrets surgeries have been arranged for Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster businesses. They will be led by UK Trade & Investment International Trade Advisors and businesses can ‘drop in’ at any point throughout the session to have questions answered. SYITC trade centre manager Renate Halton said: “Questions could cover any key area for new and experienced exporters such as market knowledge and market research, finding agents and distributors, overseas exhibitions or training.” The Trade Secrets surgeries see the SYITC and the region’s four chambers working together to help South Yorkshire companies realise their trade potential. Details of next sessions (all from 10am to Midday) are Barnsley: 16th November and 14th December; Doncaster 20th November and 18th December; Rotherham 13th November and 4th December and Sheffield 20th November, Venues are Barnsley Chamber of Commerce, BBIC, Innovation Way; Doncaster Chamber of Commerce, ICON, First Point; Rotherham Chamber of Commerce, Genesis Park; Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, Albion House, Savile Street.
