A world of export advice will be on offer at a free event for South Yorkshire companies.

‘Successful Exporting’ has been organised by South Yorkshire International Trade Centre (SYITC) and UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) at Hellaby Hall Hotel, Rotherham on February 5.

Business leaders will be able to meet with experts and listen to a number of seminars whether they are new to exporting or expanding their business overseas.

Jo Kelly, Senior International Trade Advisor from the SYITC, said: “The information available at the exporters’ day can be used to form an essential part of a successful business plan. This event will provide something for everyone.”

A number of helpdesks will be available for people to gain more information on the Passport to Export scheme for new exporters, market research, legal advice, language and cultural barriers, export finance and HM Revenue and Customs.

Assistance will be available for any business interested in extending operations to China, South East Asia, India, Middle East and South Africa.

Throughout the day four seminars will take place covering key trading and export marketing issues, including information and opportunities, ready to exhibit, HM Revenue and Customs and managing agents and distributors.

International Trade Advisors from the SYITC will be available on the day to provide support to all attendees.

The South Yorkshire International Trade Centre is supported by a three-year £7.41million funding package issued jointly by Yorkshire Forward, the European Regional Development Fund and UK Trade and Investment under contract with Business Link South Yorkshire.

The centre provides essential international trade related services including expert advice, market information, research and grant support.
