The company, which began with one Yorkshireman and a truck in 1999, has bought out the transportation arm of Van Hee Transport Ltd, a highly respected Gateshead-based transport and delivery specialist.

The buy out is part of a planned programme of acquisitions expected to see TAL Logistics - which currently has an annual turnover in excess of 8million - double in size over the next two years.

TAL Logistics founder and Chairman Neil Taylor said: �Van Hee is very highly regarded, and has a long tradition in the North East. We are delighted to have brought the business under the TAL Logistics Group umbrella.

�We have pledged that there will be no redundancies as a result of the buy out, and we are whole heartedly committed to that. Our intention is to significantly develop our business across the UK and internationally, which will mean new jobs and opportunities.�

TAL Logistics is one of the UK�s fastest growing logistics companies, with growth of more than 320 per cent over the last two years. Neil Taylor explained the company is very much on the fast track. He said: �This is only the latest in a string of acquisitions and we are looking to make further significant purchases in the near future.
