Sheffield International Venues (SIV) has won the right to provide quality catering services at Chesterfield’s newest leisure facility.
The nationally renowned leisure services provider, which runs 14 venues in Sheffield including Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Don Valley Stadium and the English Institute of Sport - Sheffield, will run its popular Foodetc brand at Staveley Healthy Living Centre from March.
SIV beat off competition from other leisure operators to secure the £2m 10-year contract for the cafeteria at the new centre owned and run by Chesterfield Borough Council which will serve the local communities of Chesterfield, Staveley and surrounding areas.
The announcement comes shortly after SIV secured a major contract to manage Chesterfield’s Tapton Park Golf Course from April 1, 2008.
Steve Brailey, chief executive of SIV, welcomed the new contract as a solid endorsement of the companies’ commitment to enhance the total customer experience at leisure facilities: “We are delighted to have won this contract with Chesterfield Borough Council that reinforces our position in providing first class services to local authorities and look forward to delivering our product to the users of this brand new venue.
“We are confident that this new partnership with the council will deliver a premium experience for the visitor and a quality service that will provide differentiation from other centres in the area.”
