There's been a company in the Sheffield area calling door to door selling security systems.  The company is called Secura Home , Secura House, Victoria, Road, Bradford, BD2 2DD.  Also known as Secura Management Limited, same address.  

This company is cold calling residents saying they will be entered into a prize draw to win FREE security equipment if they fill in the companies survey.  They ask some quite personal questions about the home owners / occupiers.   People fill in the survey cards and of course win the prize, no surprise there.  What the company fails to tell people is that they have to pay a subscription fee to monitor the alarms. So as you can imagine it costs, quite a bit.

As this company cold calls householders, legally they are given a 7 day cooling off / cancellation period.  The cancellation must be given to the company in writing and I would suggest that the cancellation is sent registered post.  If you have any enquiries from the public regarding this company please ask them to contact Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05 06.
