Chief Executive Officer

Sheffield Chamber of Commerce is a membership organisation. Our mission is to “support, grow and connect” business in Sheffield.
Following a review of business operations, the Board have created a new position of Chief Executive Officer reporting directly to the Chamber President/Board.

The appointed individual will be responsible for providing leadership within the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce with key responsibilities around strategy, vision, mission and business planning. The role will also assume responsibility for representation, lobbying, strategic interaction within the city, members, and other stakeholders. The role will be the public face of the Chamber which will include representing SCCI through various media channels.

In addition to the above the Chief Executive Officer will support the management team in ensuring key objectives and agreed KPI’s are met across the business and to ensure the Chamber is well administered and meets its governance responsibilities.

We are looking for an experienced individual with proven leadership and management experience at a senior level supported by a track record of significant achievement in managing business performance, defining strategy and maintaining a positive working environment and culture within the business.

Applicants must possess financial experience/knowledge, areas of best practice and their legal responsibilities within the management of a small business. Excellent I.T, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to get on with people at all levels are essential.

This role is full-time, requiring flexibility to attend out of hours events/networking and is of a permanent nature. Remuneration package to be discussed at the interview stage.

Operations Manager

  • Salary/Benefits – Competitive Package
  • Full-time, 37 ½ hours/week
  • Permanent Position

Sheffield Chamber of Commerce is a membership organisation. Our mission is to “support, grow and connect” business in Sheffield.

Following a review of business operations, the Board have created a new position of Operations Manager reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

The appointed individual will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, finance reports, cash flow and future projections to the Chamber Board. The role will take the lead on the annual budget and business planning review working closely with the CEO, Board of Directors and Departmental Managers.

We are looking for an experienced individual with strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a demanding workload and work to tight deadlines. In addition to delivering accurate and timely financial reports this role also encompasses a broad range of operational duties across the business ensuring variety within the role.

Day to day operations will also include HR, IT, facilities management and health & safety. Experience in these areas is preferred however not essential as support will be available both internally and externally to ensure business objectives are met.

Applicants must have a strong financial background, an accounting qualification is desirable, but not essential subject to the level of experience. Excellent I.T, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to get on with people at all levels are essential within this hands-on role.

This role is full-time (37 ½ hours) and permanent. Competitive salary to be discussed at interview stage.
