City Centre Business Group

What is the City Centre Business Group?

The City Centre Business Group is an alliance of public and private sector organisations, focused on promoting and enthusing people about Sheffield City Centre.

What do they do?

The group aims to foster an environment where business and the public sector work together, making Sheffield an attractive competitor to other UK cities and maximising possible inward investment. Alongside these external aims, the group looks to create links between City Centre businesses, the public sector and other organisations responsible for regeneration and future economic growth.

When do they meet?

The group meet on a quarterly basis at various locations around the City Centre. These meetings are only open to those who are part of the group but they are always open to expressions of interest in joining.

Who is in the group?

There is a vibrant mix of public sector organisations, regeneration agencies and private sector businesses in the group. It is chaired by Hermann Beck, owner of the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria and past president of the Chamber. Other organisations represented on the group are:
