Over 40 young professionals recently took part in a personal development event hosted by JCI Sheffield at the new Copthorne Hotel on Bramall Lane. The first personal development event of the year was coordinated by JCI Director Amy Tingle and featured an ancient tool to profile your personality!

The training session focussed on the individual attendees plotting their characteristics and personality traits on an enneagram chart which helped them become better informed about the key drivers in their lives and careers. In addition JCI offers unique courses in public speaking, presenting and debating to name but a few.

Lisa Price, President of JCI Sheffield said: "JCI Sheffield have seen some phenomenal changes in their 81 year history, however never has their organisation felt more relevant in helping individuals survive the downturn and seek the opportunities that arise from it."

The enneagram presentation was given by Jane and Anna Paget of Eva Consulting. Jo Steel is a relatively new member attending a JCI personal development event for the first time; she was surprised by the accuracy of the enneagram. She said ""I thought the Enneagram workshop was excellent, I was able to pin point my personality traits precisely and apply them to how deal with the many different scenarios we are faced with in the workplace and also in life".
