Greentop Community Circus Centre, one of only four venues in the country to offer circus skills coaching, has introduced Westfield Health's Chamber Primary Health Plan.

The centre works with both the community and businesses to teach skills such as juggling and using a trapeze. It also provides acrobats, fire-eaters and entertainers for events and festivals.

Greentop Events Co-ordinator James Harkness said: "As an employee I was thinking about my health and realised I hadn't been to the dentist for far too long. My previous employer had healthcare provision that really helped and I thought a cash plan would work well here too.

"Westfield's Chamber Plan came recommended so I looked into it and spoke to both Westfield and our local Chamber about it and thought that it was a great match for us.

"The trustees agreed to introduce the plan because they thought it was a really good way of giving employees added value.

"If it wasn't for Westfield I probably wouldn't have booked an appointment for my dental work yet."

Greentop is a registered charity and business whose corporate work helps to fund its charitable schemes. Funded by the Arts Council with RFO status, Greentop works with disadvantaged children, people with disabilities and young offenders.

James said: "We're incredibly proud of our RFO status and our charitable activities. Our work with young offenders, for example, helps to show youngsters that there is an alternative path they can take and acts as a catalyst for change.

"As a charity we can't always compete with staff packages at corporate companies but we can offer flexible hours and working conditions. Westfield fits into this approach and adds to the package we're able to offer.

"We've secured some additional funding that will enable us to employ another member of staff and the Chamber Plan will play a part in the recruitment process."
