The South Yorkshire Green Business Club offers businesses from any sector and of any size the opportunity to receive expert advice on environmental legislation, financial support from regional and national bodies, national initiatives and future market developments, whilst always maintaining the emphasis on business potential.
Strong links and representation
With strong links and representation from regulatory bodies, academic institutions, support organisations and other specialist forums, the SYGBC also provides an excellent source of expertise and advice for any environmental issue that may affect your business. The club holds a series of breakfast meetings with expert presenters, lively debate and an opportunity to network over a tasty breakfast. For those members who can't attend or simply wish to listen again to events, the SYGBC has a monthly podcast feature of the month's presentations allowing delegates to catch-up on missed events. The SYGBC website is also used to benefit members of the forum wishing to showcase their new businesses, products or services and features a link to the other regional and national support available.
Without a doubt, the SYGBC is one of the best places to gain a holistic view of a fast-growing market and keep in touch with what is happening in the environmental sector in South Yorkshire. Currently, over 100 organisations are members, including companies from a wide variety of backgrounds, e.g. industry, finance, utilities, legal and consultancies. Members are based throughout South and West Yorkshire and the
Derbyshire region.
The South Yorkshire Green Business Club aims:
- To provide information and advice on relevant environmental issues to the local business community, especially SMEs
- To encourage members of the club to develop and use environmentally sound management practices and make the most out of business opportunities
- To seek to maximise involvement of the local business community with the activities the club and other relevant organisations in the region
