Businesses to spring into action
A date for your diary......
The Sheffield Business and Economy Conference, RE:Inventing Business will be taking place on Wednesday, June 23 at the new-look Crucible Theatre.
Leading international conference facilitator Greg Clark has already been booked for the city's most important business summit, which is set to attract hundreds of people from across Yorkshire and the UK.
Greg will also attend the pre-summit dinner, which is to be hosted by DLA Piper the day before.
Meanwhile, Inspiring Women, advice on riding the recession and the first regional networking evenings of the year are all taking place this spring.
Sheffield Chamber has organised the events during March and April for members and non-members around South Yorkshire.
‘Inspire and be inspired' is on March 31 and is the first event of 2010 for the Inspiring Women Group in Sheffield.
Following feedback from previous years the group has decided to hold a purely networking event, with some of the city's leading business people attending from a diverse range of sectors.
Hosted by Domino Commercial Interiors, the event will take place at JF Finnegans' Wards Exchange development on Ecclesall Road. It starts at 5:30pm and entry is £10 for members and £20 for non-members.
The first ever South Yorkshire Chamber Networking Evening will be taking place on April 15 at the Rutland Hotel.
Taking the same format as the South Yorkshire Chamber Breakfast, but in the evening, the event will draw together members from Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley and Rotherham Chambers of Commerce.
Attending delegates will have the opportunity to meet new contacts and promote their business in two-minute presentations at each table. Starting at 5pm, entry is £19.99 for Chamber members and £40 for non-members.
Following his successful 15-minute presentation at last year's Economic Summit in Sheffield, Sid Joynson is back in the city on April 23 at the Mercure St Pauls Hotel.
Sid will give a manufacturing specialist overview on being ready for the recovery after the recession, improving contact with clients and maximising employees' talent, creativity and enthusiasm.
‘Ride the recession, ready for the recovery' will run from 7:30am to 10:30am and cost £20 for Chamber members and £40 for non-members.
