The Chamber Events Team organise over 40 events per year, ranging in size from small workshops through to awards dinners for over 1,000 guests.

Our events programme is designed to service the needs of members, from networking or entertaining clients through to keeping abreast of current business thinking. Some of our events are available to any businesses, but it is through membership that you will gain preferential rates and access to the entire events programme. The value provided through the events programme alone often exceeds the annual membership fee.

Sheffield Chamber of Commerce are organising Networking After Hours event on a monthly basis, kindly hosted by various venues across the city - all members of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce.

You will have the opportunity to:
• unwind and relax with like minded business people,
• meet new business leads, customers, contacts and clients,
• exchange ideas and experiences with others
• meet potential service providers
• join owners or decision makers from many other businesses to gain knowledge, expertise and contacts

Meet the Neighbours - Time 4.30pm - 7.30pm (1 per year)

Sheffield Chamber of Commerce invite members only to attend this new networking event where the evening includes a drinks reception, exhibition, short presentations from both SCCI and the venue, and refreshments.
You will be able to make new contacts and business leads from within the Sheffield and DerbyNotts Chamber membership and promote your business whilst enjoying one of Sheffields finest venues.

South Yorkshire Chambers Breakfasts - Time: 7.30- 10.30am (4 per year, hosted once by each SY Chamber)

Membership of the Chamber is all about helping your business to grow. The South Yorkshire Chamber Breakfasts draw together members from Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley and Rotherham Chambers of Commerce to meet in a relaxed atmosphere to network.

Attending delegates have the opportunity to meet many new contacts, as they change tables a number of times during breakfast, promoting your company by making a two-minute presentation on your business each time.

There is also a Business Card Draw, offering 4 attendees the opportunity to promote their company by making a two-minute presentation on their business to all assembled guests. A generous supply of business cards is essential to the success of this unique networking event. A literature exchange table will be made available for the display of company brochures and literature (one item per business).

The Presidents Annual Dinner

The Annual Dinner is a flagship Sheffield Chamber of Commerce event which attracts an audience of approximately 500 guests including the A-list of the region's business world, Chamber Board members and dignitaries.

The dinner is an ideal opportunity to entertain corporate clients at a prestigious venue and event steeped in history, as well as listen to a fascinating business speaker.
If you would like to attend, the Annual Dinner is open to Sheffield Chamber members and their guests only. Dress code is strictly black tie.

The dinner features a three course meal with table wine and coffee service, invited speakers and a presentation from the Chamber President, all in the impressive surroundings of the Cutlers Hall.

A event to find and celebrate the winner of winners from those who have been awarded the Medal of Merit from march 2009 - March 2010. More details to be confirmed.

St. Leger

The St Leger Festival marquees are quite simply the height of elegance. Soak up the exciting atmosphere over a three course lunch, network with other business people, or watch the racing in the beautiful lawned paddock area with great views of the course in the heart of the action.

This is a joint event between SCCI and Barnsley/Rotherham Chamber of Commerce and promises to be an event you cannot afford to miss!

Sheffield Business Awards

The Sheffield Business Awards are organised by the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and are designed to recognise and reward both business and individual success in the Sheffield City Region.
The awards are open to any business with an 'S' postcode - both members and non-members of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce.

The event is now firmly established as the city region's premier showcase of enterprise. The Sheffield Business Awards are part of the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce's ongoing commitment to supporting businesses, whatever their size.

The Sheffield Business Festival - September 2010

A month packed full of informative seminars and events for business owners, managers or employees.

As well as events organised by Sheffield Chamber we are happy to promote partner business events as part of the Business Festival. The events must be in Sept 2010 and be organised by a company who is a member of SCCI.

Sheffield Chamber of Commerce AGM

The AGM will is a highlight of the calendar for Sheffield Chamber as it is an opportunity to reflect on the past year. The AGM also welcomes the new Chamber president, who will be in post for one year and who uses the opportunity to outline their plans for the coming year. The incoming President will receive the chain of office from current president.

Celebration of Success Presentations

The AGM aims to review the achievements of the Chamber and celebrate the success of its members over the last 12 months. We will be continuing with the Celebration of Business presentations, recognising businesses that have been trading for 25, 50, 75 or 100 years. Organisations wishing to be recognised in the Celebration of Business presentations must have been trading for more than 25, 50, 75 or 100 years. Please download the editable pdf of the application form from the event page under ‘events calendar' to apply for the ‘Celebration of Business' certificate.

Due to overwhelming demand last year, certificates will be limited and awarded to the first ten entries received for each category.

Council Members Election

New council members are also appointed at the AGM, tasked with promoting the Chamber as the leading business forum within the city region, as well as representing the membership through the work of its various committees and forums. Elected members serve on Council for three years and are eligible for re-election after their term of office.

The AGM will be followed by drinks and canapés, giving guests an opportunity to network with fellow Chamber members, meet the Chamber Board of Directors, management and staff.

Inspiring Women are a forum of the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, created to help the business community of Sheffield recognise the benefit from the passion, power and dynamism of women in business.
