RE:Defining the City

As Sheffield emerges from it's redevelopment programme, RE:Defining the City campaign is an initiative to celebrate Sheffield as an exciting place to live, work and play. RE:Defining the City will promote Sheffield's unique assets - its heritage, its people, its culture, its enterprise and its innovate nature.

The campaign will include a range of events that will highlight the architecture of the city, its contemporary and historical culture, its music, its art and, above all, its spirit. The campaign is backed by a range of organisations and principle partners are Sheffield City Council, Sheffield Hallam University, Creative Sheffield and Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The appeal of this initiative is for organisations to promote their events and campaigns under one banner, strengthening the value of their publicity, providing opportunities for cross promotion and presenting a cohesive view of the city and what it has to offer. For sponsors of the campaign, there is a real opportunity to be associated with numerous high profile events and activities that will put their business in the spotlight.

In addition organisations already on board include RIBA Yorkshire, The Moor, the Crucible Theatre, the Children's Festival, University of Sheffield, Off the Shelf and the Museums and Galleries Trust.
