Acquired by Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry in September 2002, Sheffield Enterprise Agency is now based in Albion house along with Sheffield Chamber and South Yorkshire International Trade Centre.

The start-up programme is funded by BiG Make It Your Business under contract from Sheffield City Council.

Sheffield Enterprise Agency is a full member of the National Federation of Enterprise Agencies (NFEA) and is the contract holder for the nationally-acclaimed New Entrepreneur Scholarships (NES) programme.

Sheffield Enterprise Agency also delivers the Job Centre Plus New Deal for Self Employment programme contracted from Norfolk & Waveney Enterprise Services (NWES) to assist long-term unemployed people into self-employment with the relevant training and up to six months' test trading without affecting their benefits.

Our business skills training course is mapped to the Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative (SFEDI) standards and ILM Level 2.

We are Customer First accredited and, as part of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, hold the Investors in People award.
