Special Olympics is coming to Sheffield and your company could be involved!
Between 7-11 August 2017, the 10th National Summer Games will take place in the City of Sheffield across a number of sporting venues. 2,600 athletes with intellectual disabilities of all ages/abilities will come together from across the country.
They will be supported over 4 days of competition by 700 coaches, 900 volunteers and over 6,000 family and friends. A spectacular Olympic-style Opening Ceremony will kick-off the event at Sheffield United FC, with 15,000+ guests, with confirmed media support from BBC and ITV, as well as regional print/broadcast partners.
Special Olympics GB’s National Summer Games is the country’s largest multi-sports event for athletes with intellectual disabilities.
It is held every 4 years and represents a huge opportunity to showcase the abilities of children and adults with intellectual disabilities, allowing them to compete at a national level, experience the personal achievement this brings, as well as improving their confidence, life opportunities, health and fitness, friendships and inclusion in society.
Our sponsors and partners are the lifeblood of the Games and can expect a wealth of unique marketing and CSR benefits to include:
- branding at Games sports venues and throughout the City (with a BBC and ITV media presence, as well as regional media)
- national & regional marketing and PR campaigns in the run up and during the event
- client hospitality and opportunity to attend the Opening Ceremony, sports and present medals
- employee volunteering and opportunities to meet our athletes and ambassadors.
There are various sponsor packages to suit budgets of companies from the Sheffield region and to discuss how your company, staff, customers and clients can get involved, contact Bonnie Clayton on email@example.com
ALSO, Special Olympics is also seeking out local suppliers for various aspects of the Games infrastructure for a whole variety of Games delivery areas. If you think you can help, please also get in touch with them.
