Louise Lane Botanical Art

Screen shot 2017-09-13 at 09.21.26Louise’s passion and inspiration for botanical art has been motivated by the natural beauty of both the Peak District and open spaces of Sheffield. Louise has been awarded two Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Gold Medals (winning Best in Show 2012). She has work in the RHS Lindley Library, London and in numerous private collections.

In 2016 Louise displayed a small collection of her work at the Sheffield Chamber President’s Dinner and donated an original watercolour to be auctioned. Her painting Tulip ‘Queen of Night’ raised £2000 with all proceeds going to St Luke’s Hospice.

Louise is delighted to donate another original painting for auction again this year at the Sheffield Chamber President’s Dinner 2017. This year’s painting will perfectly complement the President’s chosen charity, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

Louise’s forthcoming exhibition ‘FLORA’ is a collection of watercolours and drawings inspired by the plant life around Sheffield.

The exhibition is an open event and original artwork, calendars and cards will be for sale. Limited edition prints will be available to order
