Do you know what will happen to your business if you die whilst you still own it?
Will it continue? Who will run it? What will happen to the other directors and shareholders? What will happen to the business assets? Will your family have to pay inheritance tax?
These questions – and more – will be tackled by Sheffield Solicitors, Graysons, at an informative seminar on Friday 20th September. The seminar will be held at Graysons’ offices in Courtwood House, Silver Street Head, Sheffield. S1 2DD. The event will take place from 8.30am to 10.30am and will include light refreshments.
Head of Graysons’ private client team, Anne Rogers will discuss how having a business will in place can ensure that your family and your business are protected if you die whilst you still own the business. Anne is experienced in dealing with complex inheritance tax planning and helping business owners and managers to ensure that they leave their business and personal affairs in order, in the most tax efficient way, when they die.
Anne will be joined by Andy Ramrattan, a senior consultant at Pannells Financial Planning. Any will discuss succession planning for your business and how the loss of a business owner can destabilise a business and quickly lead to financial difficulties. He will discuss how to put a suitable mechanism in place so that existing shareholders can retain ownership of a business. Andy is an expert in business protection, with over 20 years’ experience of working in the corporate market with some of the largest businesses in the UK. He has worked with Barclays Wealth and has been a director at BHP.
