James is a Partner with national law firm, Freeths LLP and specialises in Commercial Dispute Resolution; prior to that, he was a Partner at Irwin Mitchell LLP where he trained and spent almost 12 years.
James regularly advises clients in the manufacturing, construction and technology sectors across a wide variety of commercial disputes including complex IT issues, shareholder and director disputes, claims arising from sale and purchase agreements, warranty claims, professional negligence claims and commercial contract disputes. He also has extensive experience in handling interim injunction applications and dealing with enforcement and insolvency related issues.
He is a Friend of the Company of Cutlers in Hallamshire and has previously been Legal Trustee for The Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust and also a school governor at Sheffield Park Academy.
In his spare time, James enjoys running, cycling in the Peak District and taking part in OCR and triathlon; he is also an aspirant golfer and enjoys watching most forms of sport.
