Why do you value being a Chamber council member?
I was previously a member of the Visitor Economy panel and understand what an integral role the Chamber plays in putting Sheffield on the map. It’s very much 'for the people'.
What’s the most important thing you bring to the Council, to benefit Chamber members?
I bring not only diversity, but fresh-thinking ideas and in particular, support for both students and businesses which embody university education. Prior to working with UniHomes, I have a marketing background within hospitality; as this is also a significant “pull’ for people spending within our economy, it’s another key area I’ll be supportive of.
Why is Sheffield the best UK city to live, work and play?
We’re increasingly lucky to have so many stunningly green spaces on our doorstep. Aside from this, I cherish the little pockets of unique bars & restaurants, all of which have their own personalities.
I’m excited to see the expansion of the New Era developments (new China town), which brings a high-class range of international eateries to the centre. Integrated with state-of-the-art offices, it’s fast becoming the hottest district for doing business within the heart of our city.
