Why do you value being a Chamber council member?

SCCI are constantly growing as an organisation, adapting to the ever-changing needs of the business community. The team are dynamic, proactive, and not afraid to challenge or champion. I’m delighted to play a part within an organisation that cares about Sheffield and its growth.

What’s the most important thing you bring to the Council, to benefit Chamber members?

Throughout a 25 year career in media, I’ve been instrumental in delivering business-critical change across people and processes to enhance creativity, innovation and results. My passion has always been to help businesses succeed by developing and executing robust and creative customer engagement and business development initiatives to drive tangible results. I now work within the Third Sector for Sheffield Hospitals Charity supporting Sheffield Teaching Hospitals – the largest employer in the City and arguably the most important in terms of our community’s health. I hope to combine my experience and contact base to advise, shape and support the Chamber.

Why is Sheffield the best UK city to live, work and play?

Doesn’t everyone want to stay living, working and playing in Sheffield once they get here? I started working for Hallam FM in 1996 and immediately felt this was the place for me. I love the something for everyone feel, whether that be the Peak District on our doorstep, our vibrant creative industry, a plethora of independent cafes and restaurants and a business community that is supportive and connected.
