Louisa is an established social entrepreneur who founded Benchmark an award-winning ethical employment firm in 2006 which she exited in 2022 following a successful MBO. With a background in people development, she is a graduate of Goldman Sachs 10KSB, Common Purpose and NLP.
Now Chief Executive of The Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, Chair of Sheffield Business Together ( a consortium of private sector organisations harnessing their resources and expertise to tackle key social issues in the City supported by Business In The Community ) Also a board member of The Higher Education Progression Partnership (Hepp) which works across the Sheffield City Region to encourage more children, young people and adults to consider higher education opportunities, jointly funded by Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Sheffield. Louisa is also joint chair of the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority Business Advisory Board and a member of the Sheffield City Council Diverse Business Advisory Board, which she helped to form. And finally, a trustee at St Luke’s Hospice whose mission is to deliver the best possible palliative care in Sheffield, whilst developing and driving continual improvements for everyone affected by terminal illness.
An active member of the business community committed to using her networks for the social and economic benefit of her home city. Louisa is married with two children, a keen veg grower and an amateur women’s cricketer!
