Whatever happened to Sheaf House? A discussion about shaping the future of a city
Date: 27 Feb 2020
Time: 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Say goodbye to Sheffield 2025. Say hello to the reality that the new decade is already upon us. 2025 is only 250 weeks away. How do we want to use that time to grow our city?
Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and the Sheffield Property Association are teaming up to bring you a panel discussion with a difference. A panel discussion designed intentionally to provoke debate, perhaps disagreement and potentially some soul searching.
Sheaf House was demolished in 2005. The site left behind has stood empty for 15 years. We could wait another 15 years before it is put to good use when HS2 arrives half way through the next decade. Is this a totemic example of what happens when you wait for tomorrow rather than seizing the day?
Join us to be provoked, challenged and to explore how the city builds on the momentum that has emerged in recent years.
Time waits for no city.
Prior to the panel discussion there will be ample time to network with like-minded professionals with drinks and food provided.
The event will take place in the Pennine Centre on Tenter Street, giving you an opportunity to see the latest regeneration project taking place in Sheffield, creating a brand new mixed use space in the city centre.
Speaker line-up will be announced shortly
Location: Pennine Centre
