EO North Network Event
This is a valuable opportunity to meet and build connections with other employee-owned businesses across the region, fostering a strong and supportive EO community.
Through dedicated knowledge transfer sessions, we’ll explore key areas of employee ownership including employee voice, engagement, communication, governance, succession planning, and profit share initiatives. By sharing our experiences, both the successes and the challenges, we can learn from one another, offer support, and strengthen our collective understanding of what it means to be part of an EO business.
Date: Thursday 4th September
Venue: GLIDE House, 300 Attercliffe Common, Terry Street, Sheffield, S9 2AG
Time: 1:30pm - 5pm
Whether you’re thinking of selling up, stepping back or strengthening your team employee ownership could be the solution for you. More and more business owners are choosing employee ownership over traditional exit routes across all sectors. Sales to Employee Ownership Trusts (EOTs) now account for 1 in every 20 private company sales in the UK. Join us at EO North Network Event to find out why!
Why employee ownership?
- Empower: give employees a meaningful say and stake in the business they work for.
- Fair value and timely exit: departing owners receive a fair market value for their business within a sensible timeframe.
- No external finance needed: employees do not need to use external or private finance to buy the business.
- Tax efficient: sales to EOTs are exempt from Capital Gains Tax and employees can receive up to £3,600 in tax-free bonuses each year.
- Flexible ownership: employees can own all or a portion of the business. If employees own a portion, a portion will also be owned by other stakeholders, such as the founder-owner or external investors.
The EO North Network Event is a great opportunity to learn more about employee ownership and meet those who have already made the transition in South Yorkshire and beyond.
