National Apprenticeship Employer Incentives - Technical Guidance
Join Vice Principal for Apprenticeships at The Sheffield College, Steve Elliott as he explores the benefits of Apprentices to local business
The recent pandemic has impacted on everyone. The economy has suffered a major shock with certain industries and markets being disproportionally affected. There has also been a major impact on young people with regard to the Job Market. In these unprecedented times, employers and individuals are looking at the Government for help.
As part of the Chancellor's summer statement, it was announced that cash incentives would be available from 1st August 2020 to employers taking on new Apprentices. As the economy seeks to rebound from COVID-19, this news has been warmly received.
The incentives provide a great opportunity to progress with recruitment plans, playing a key role in ensuring employers of all sizes have the right staff in place to enable business continuity and growth.
We are delighted to introduce Steve Elliott – Vice Principal for Apprenticeships at The Sheffield College - to discuss how this will work and how employers can access the incentive when recruiting new Apprentices to their business.
The presentation will last around 10 minutes with an additional 15 minutes for you to ask those all important questions to our panel.
This event is brought to you by The Sheffield College, the region’s largest Further Education College, in partnership with the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
