Red Shoe Walk 2026

Join Sheffield Hospitals Charity and Meadowhall on Sunday 2nd August to raise funds for people living with dementia and those who care for them.

Join Sheffield Hospitals Charity and Meadowhall on Sunday 2nd August at the Red Shoe Walk to raise funds for people living with dementia and those who care for them.

The flat, accessible route is ideal for all ages and abilities. The 2km walk this year takes you around the outskirts and through Meadowhall.

The Red Shoe Walk was inspired by one woman’s lifelong love of red shoes – a simple memory trigger that helps her connect with her past.

As you lace up, take a moment to reflect on your own memories. Photos, music, familiar objects and special places can help bring back older memories and create a sense of connection.

Walk in honour of someone special or to help raise funds for dementia care in Sheffield and ask yourself, what's your own red shoe moment?

Everyone who takes part in the walk will get an exclusive Red Shoe Walk t-shirt to wear.

Keep an eye out for special retailer discounts at Meadowhall for everyone wearing their event t-shirt on the day too.

Plus, Red Shoe Walkers will get free access and unlimited rides until 12 noon at the Summer Beach Club after the walk has finished!
