What is Sheffield Chamber?

Sheffield Chamber is a membership organisation providing the latest news, events, business advice, support and expertise to the local business community.

Whatever the sector, shape or size of your organisation, our primary focus is to support, grow and connect your business.

By working with us, and becoming a member of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, you gain access to a suite of membership benefits aimed at providing business support, profile raising, international services and reducing your costs.

Is the Chamber part the City Council?

No. Although we work closely with Sheffield City Council and the Local Enterprise Partnership, and on occasion collaborate on specific projects, Sheffield Chamber is not part of or funded by any council or local government.

Is Sheffield Chamber accredited to the British Chambers of Commerce?

Yes. We are one of 53 Chambers across the UK who are accredited through our national body, the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC). Together, we represent tens of thousands of businesses of all shapes and sizes, which employ almost six million people across the UK.

Membership

How much is Sheffield Chamber membership?

The cost of membership is subject to your requirements. We offer a range of different membership packages which are aimed at providing you with a choice, to accommodate your specific business needs and future strategy.

How can I pay for membership?

Payment can be made by annual or monthly direct debit, BACs or by card.

How do I join membership?

You can join Sheffield Chamber online by clicking here and completing the online registration. Once complete, you will be assigned an Account Manager who will be in touch to ensure you maximise your membership. Your Account Manager will be your main point of contact for any enquiry throughout your membership.

How does Sheffield Chamber membership work?

Sheffield Chamber membership is an annual subscription that will renew automatically. You will be contacted by your Account Manager prior to your renewal to discuss your membership.

Can any business join membership?

Whatever the sector, shape or size of your organisation, you can join the Sheffield Chamber. The breadth and depth of our benefits packages ensure that whether you are a sole-trader or a large corporate, there is a support offering for you.

I am not sure who my Account Manager is?

No problem. To find out who your Account Manager is, please log into the Member Hub. Your Account Manager, and direct details of how to contact them, will be displayed on your home profile page.

How do I access individual membership benefits?

For details of how to access individual member benefits and services, log into the Member Hub and navigate to the ‘Access Benefits’ tab. All the benefits included in your membership level are listed on this page. Please click on an individual benefit for further details on how to access it.

Events and Training

How do I book?

Bookings for training and events can be made online.

To make a booking, navigate to the website page for the specific training/event you wish to book, specify how many tickets you would like and click the ‘Book Now’ button. The tickets will then be added to your basket and you can proceed to the checkout to complete your purchase.

Please remember to log into the Member Hub to access your discounted prices.

Are non-members able to attend Sheffield Chamber events/training?

Many of our events are available to non-members, however a different cost may apply. Some events are members only and can only be attended by Sheffield Chamber members.

All training courses are available to non-members, however by becoming a member you will access exclusive member price discounts.

I’m a member and the price showing for events and training is incorrect, why?

Please ensure you are logged into the Member Hub to access your member discount. If the price is still showing as incorrect, simply call our membership team on 0114 201 8888 and we will try and fix this for you as soon as possible.

International Trade

Do I have to be a member to access International Trade services?

Sheffield International Trade Centre, which is part of Sheffield Chamber, works with and provides support to all businesses across the region regardless of whether they are members or non-members.

However, by being a Chamber member you will gain access to exclusive support and discounted prices on services such as Export Documentation and Export Office Hub.

Website and Member Hub

How do I update my Member Hub profile?

You can update your business details via the Member Hub. Log into the hub and click the ‘Go to My Account’ button. Here you will be able to update your business profile, including name, address, profile image, website etc.

I have forgot my password and/or username?

No problem, we all do it sometimes!

Simply click the ‘Forgotten password/username’ button on login, enter your email/username and we will send you an email with instructions on how to reset your password/username.

A member of my business wants access to the Member Hub?

Great, not a problem. The principle user of your member account can add a new user via the Member Hub. Simply log into the Member Hub and click the ‘Add a User’ button. Here you will see a list of current users and details of how to add a new profile.

I have a news story/event/offer/opportunity I want to share; how do I upload it to the website?

You can upload your news, events, offers and opportunity to the Chamber website via the Member Hub.

Simply log into the hub, navigate to the ‘Uploads’ tab and click ‘Upload Item’. Once you have completed inputting your details, click ‘Submit for Approval’. Sheffield Chamber will then receive your request to publish.

Please note, this service is only available in specific membership packages. If your business is not on the correct package, this service will not be available via the Hub.

How do I make a change to a news story/event/offer/opportunity I have uploaded to the Chamber website?

To make a change to an item you have already uploaded, simply log into the Member Hub and navigate to the ‘Uploads’ tab. Here you will see a list of all uploaded items you have made to the website. To make a change, simply click ‘manage’ next to the item you need to amend.

I would like to join one of the Sheffield Chamber forums, how do I do this?

Great news! You can request to join one of the Forums via the Member Hub. Simply log into the hub, navigate to the ‘Forums’ tab and click the ‘Request Membership’ button.

My account has been frozen, why?
