The Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP) is looking for innovative UK SMEs involved in next generation services who want to showcase their innovations and what they can offer at Singapore Fintech Festival & SWITCH (SFF x SWITCH).
SFF x SWITCH is a programme of events where companies identify new technologies for business transformation and form
collaborations. It brings together entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, innovators and industry professionals from diverse backgrounds.
Successful applicants will join a cohort of innovative businesses who in the past have entered Asia and developed local partnerships with fellow disruptive innovators and blue-chip companies.

Singapore is frequently used as a safe gateway to Asia due to its high GDP per capita, healthcare, transport, infrastructure quality and technology adoption, plus an attractive tax system and a familiar legal framework.
Singapore is ranked 4th in the Global Finance Centres Index (GFCI) ranking of financial centres and has a stated ambition to become the LegalTech and FinTech centre of the world.
This mission is looking to explore potential opportunities for the UK (and Next Generation Services ISCF challenge) to learn from the Singapore model and benefit from cooperation.

➢ Insurance (InsurTech)
➢ Legal Services (LawTech)
➢ Accountancy
➢ Technology Suppliers into above sectors.

• Pre-visit and in-country briefings providing market information, advice on how to do business in Singapore, training on how to improve your pitch and articulate your value proposition and how to protect your IP. • Exclusive access to the Singaporean digital economy and next generation services sectors and the opportunity to meet key companies and research organisations. • Targeted, pre-arranged meetings at organised matchmaking events.

Innovate UK will fund flights as well as five nights’ accommodation for successful applicants. On acceptance to the programme a commitment fee of £500 will be obtained from each delegate which will be refunded on completion of the programme and agreed action plan.

Non-attendance of any part of the programme after formal acceptance may result in forfeiting some or all of the fee.
