Terms and conditions for Sheffield Chamber events.

Sheffield Chamber Events

Sheffield Chamber of Commerce is committed to data protection and GDPR regulations. As such, Sheffield Chamber will never share your details with any third party. Should you wish to receive future correspondence from the Chamber please tick the relevant box on the booking form. By leaving the box unticked, ensures you only receive correspondence relating to the event/webinar you booked on to.

Events may be photographed and/or filmed to be used in post-event publicity. Should you not want to be included, please make the photographer aware on the day of the event.

Once a booking has been submitted the booking is final and the below terms become applicable:

  • All events must be paid in full before delegates attend
  • Payment can be made by credit/debit card, BACS or cheque, subject to costs
  • A receipted invoice will be sent out for payments by credit/debit card by email
  • SCCI have the right to refuse entry to events to any delegate who has not made payment in full
  • Delegates attending events without pre-booking must pay on entry to the event
  • All cancellations must be made in writing to events@scci.org.uk to be eligible for a refund as per the guide below
  • By agreeing to our events terms and conditions, you provide consent for your name, job title and company name to be included in the event delegate list. This delegate list, upon request pre and post-event, can be shared with other event delegates and partner event organisers. Please note, your email address will not be shared with any 3rd party, unless clearly stated otherwise.
  • Delegates cannot distribute literature en-mass at any event unless a designated literature exchange table is provided (if this is the case it will be detailed on the individual event listings). Delegates seen doing so will have their literature removed by the organisers.

Covid-19 Terms and Conditions

These Covid-19 terms and conditions will apply to all events that are organised or owned by Sheffield Chamber of Commerce. Specific venues may have additional conditions.

In the unlikely circumstance that SCCI must cancel an event:

  • We will refund any registration costs if possible or postpone/transfer your ticket to another event.
  • SCCI shall not be liable for any costs incurred for travel or accommodation arrangements made by delegates.

SCCI is committed to ensuring a safe environment at all our events and will continue to review and act on latest government coronavirus advice and guidance.  Please be aware that for your safety additional policies and procedures will be in place.

It is the responsibility of each delegate to observe all safety measures put in place by SCCI.  

Contact details and attendance data may be retained by for 14 days, this is for the purpose of event safety. We will only share your information if requested to by NHS contact tracers for the purpose of public health efforts to tackle COVID-19. This may occur in the event of a positive test for COVID-19 of someone at the event, you may then be contacted by NHS Track and Trace. No sensitive information required as evidence of COVID-19 status for event attendance will be copied or shared in any way.

We are asking all attendees/delegates to please take a lateral flow test before arriving and only attend if the result is negative. Please do not attend if you have any symptoms or are unwell and we ask you to book a PCR test and follow government guidance.

By booking a place on to SCCI events you are confirming that you understand and agree to these terms and conditions.

Event Cancellation

General Networking Events

Cancellations must be made in writing to events@scci.org.uk 15 days before the event to be eligible for a refund. Exhibition Stands (if applicable) - Cancellations must be made in writing to events@scci.org.uk 15 days before the event to be eligible for a refund.

Presidents Annual Event

  • Cancellations must be made in writing to events@scci.org.uk
  • 100% refund available up to 30 days before the event. 
  • All prices are plus VAT. 
  • All payment must be made in full before any tickets will be distributed. 
  • Tables will be allocated on a first come first served basis, with sponsors and Patrons having priority seating. 

Accelerate Sheffield B2B Expo

  • Exhibition Stands - Cancellations must be made in writing to events@scci.org.uk. 
  • 100% refund available up to 30 days before the event. 
  • All prices are plus VAT.

Sheffield Business Awards

  • Cancellations must be made in writing to events@scci.org.uk
  • 100% refund available up to 30 days before the event. 
  • All prices are plus VAT. 
  • All payment must be made in full before any tickets will be distributed.

Uploading a Member Events to our Website

  • Event submissions are limited to one event per month from any one-member organisation.
  • We cannot guarantee to publish every event a member submits.
  • Sheffield Chamber reserve the right to decline an event if it is deemed unsuitable, if it is in the incorrect format or if it conflicts with our products and services.
  • Please note that Sheffield Chamber will not manage the registrations for member events, so please ensure to include how to book instructions clearly in the body copy of the event description.
  • Once your event is submitted it will remain pending until a member of Sheffield Chamber approves it. This can take up to 5 business days.
  • Maximum of 10 members events per month.
  • Through publication of your event, you are agreeing to providing Sheffield Chamber one complimentary ticket, stand space and/or opportunity for literature distribution. Sheffield Chamber will be in touch should we wish to attend.
