Jamaican Jade offers the opportunity to explore a new experience from the Caribbean and for those who are already familiar with the taste of the homeland will have opportunity to reminisce and enjoy cultural food that will excite the taste buds. Jamaican Jade is strategically placed (at 24 Commercial Street in the City Centre, near Ponds Forge opposite the tram stops) The aim and objective of Jamaican Jade is to: a) Raise the profile of Jamaican cuisine by introducing quality Jamaican takeout food with the emphasis on ensuring the use of high quality fresh authentic products and a warm courteous service that is welcoming, enjoyable and affordable. b) Meet the culinary explorative taste of the Sheffield community and its local environ. c) Provide fast, exquisite authentic Jamaican food that all may enjoy. The wider objective is to bring the more inviting aroma of the Jamaican kitchen to Sheffield and proudly meet the culinary desires of residents and visitors alike. Raise awareness of the quality and variety in hot and cold food that a Jamaican menu can offer. Add to the diversity of the cultural cuisines Sheffield already presents and raise the profile of Jamaican cuisine. It is also the aim to bring a cultural balance to the community of Sheffield by extending the accessibility of fresh, quality Jamaican food. The proprietor of Jamaican Jade was born in Jamaica but has grown up in England since 1963 and has often relived and explored the tantalising flavours of her childhood that she has enjoyed over the years. Her dreams of wanting to share some of this fusion of cultural variety with the population of Sheffield and its surrounding areas have set the foundation for this exciting venture now called Jamaican Jade. Until now it has been hard finding that genuine authentic Jamaican cuisine in Sheffield, but Jamaican Jade will provide the community of Sheffield with a choice of quick and convenient buffet box meals served by friendly and welcoming staff. The box meals range from between £4.99 to £8.99 in addition there are a variety of sodas and other cultural delights. Jamaican Jade also caters for Vegetarians and offers a discounted lunchbox meal of £2.99 for school children/students and AOPs . The hours of service caters for late breakfast and lunchtime meals between 10am and 3pm as well as assisting with evening meals and social munching between the hours of 6pm to mid-night. There is also a free fast and efficient delivery service for all orders over £10 within a 10 mile radius.
