100k Yorkshire
23rd November 2015
New for 2016! Take in the rugged and dramatic countryside of this historic county and walk from Denby Dale to Sheffield.
This is a great 100km endurance challenge taking you over the green hills, rugged moors and small stone-walled villages of Yorkshire and the Peak District. You will walk through the day and night, with some good hills to test your legs and there will be stunning scenery to motivate you. Our varied route sets off from West Yorkshire's Denby Dale (known for its pies) and heads west towards Holmfirth, of Last of the Summer Wine fame, where we head up onto the moors, on the western edge of the Pennines. Flatter paths lead us south to Sheffield, where we will finish at the Blind Veterans UK centre and Guide Dogs outreach office - a welcome relief for your tired bodies! www.100kyorkshire.org.uk
