2016 State of Sheffield Report Released.

22nd February 2016

The fifth annual State of Sheffield report was released by the Sheffield Executive Board (which the Chamber is a member of) on 17th February 2016.

It is an excellent snap shot of where the city is, but read in conjunction with the previous four gives a good narrative of the journey the city is on. Richard Wright, Executive Director of Sheffield Chamber and its representative on the SEB said "We find this a very useful overall picture of where the city is and what progress we are making. There is evidence of excellent progress in many areas but we still have lots to do to breakdown the east west polarisation in the city around life expectancy, average earnings, educational attainment and employment prospects. The Chambers total focus is on how we improve the business stock of the region because ultimately that is the best way of bringing wealth into the region and putting more money in peoples pockets."
