3Squared Looks Ahead to 2015 with Confidence

6th January 2015

2014 was a great year for Sheffield software Development Company 3Squared, which has doubled the size of its business in the past 12 months and increased its staff levels by 42 per cent.

The company, which now employs 34 people at its Sheffield office, attributes this to focusing its efforts on developing innovative technology solutions in two growth areas: Rail and Construction. Tim Jones, Managing Director of 3Squared, said: -It was an amazing year for our business, with growth being seen across the board in our consultancy, software development and software solutions divisions.  We secured several large contract wins that have helped us to grow rapidly. -2015 is set to be an exciting year for 3Squared, as we have some really interesting projects in the pipeline and we are set to launch several key software solutions in the rail and construction sectors that have already drawn the attention and interest of a number of major industry players.  I am personally excited about driving the business forward and continuing with our growth strategy. An accolade that boosted the company recently was winning the Sheffield Business Retail Awards, with its App which is designed to help small independent shops to compete with the national chains. A further boost to the company came from securing £95k funding through the Regional Growth Fund to advance its RailSmart employee development system. This has been designed to help train passenger and freight operating companies to better manage the competencies of drivers and other staff, improve health & safety and raise morale and motivation. 3Squared is a software development consultancy with offices in Sheffield and London. It is at the forefront in the use of technology to deliver change and innovation to clients predominantly in the construction and rail sectors.  The company has over 10 years of experience in helping organisations to use the latest technology to overcome business problems, improve efficiency and save money.
