A Hat-Trick of Award Nominations for Sheffield Law Firm

19th May 2015

South Yorkshire Law Firm Taylor Bracewell has received three award nominations for the prestigious Sue Ryder Yorkshire Women of Achievement Awards, which will take place on Friday 15th May at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.

Managing Partner, Sharon Beck, has been nominated in the 'Business' category and junior fee earner Jessica Lidster, based in the Sheffield office of the firm's specialist HR & Employment Law division, has been nominated in the 'Young Achiever' category. Additionally, the firm's Marketing Consultant, Frederika Roberts, has been nominated for the 'Jane Tomlinson Courage Award'. Friday's Award ceremony will be the inspirational event's 29th year of celebrating the achievements of women from across Yorkshire and raising funds for the Sue Ryder charity. An independent panel of judges will select one winner for each category and an overall winner from all the category winners. The Awards typically attract around 700 people and receive extensive press and media coverage. Georgina Abbott, Senior Hospice Fundraiser at the Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice says "The Yorkshire Women of Achievement Awards is the perfect opportunity to recognise incredible women like Sharon and Jessica. For this year's awards in May we are delighted to have received some amazing nominations for women who have demonstrated true business acumen. We are also thrilled to have Frederika as one of our nominees. She has shown true courage in the face of adversity and we will look forward to celebrating her achievements and all of our inspirational nominees on the day." Sharon Beck says "I am delighted to have been nominated for this Award and look forward to Friday's event, which promises to be highly inspirational. As for Jessica, I am always impressed with how Jessica conducts herself at Networking and Client events. I have also been impressed with her business acumen and quick uptake on commercial matters. Very shortly after joining us Jessica cross-examined one of our partners on the firm structure and partnership in particular. It left me in no doubt what Jess was looking to aspire to! She thoroughly deserves the nomination and I hope the judges agree." "I came back from holiday to find out I'd been nominated! I was stunned and over the moon", adds Jessica Lidster. Taylor Bracewell have booked a table for the Awards ceremony, thus taking the opportunity to raise essential funds for the Sue Ryder charity and also to celebrate their successes with each other and their clients. Taylor Bracewell operates from offices in Sheffield's Fountain Precinct and Thorne Road, Doncaster.
