A Knockout Partnership with Best Western Sheffield City: In the Ring with GBM Boxing

30th September 2025

We were proud to recently partner with GBM Boxing for their latest Sheffield show, providing accommodation for the fighters and transforming our restaurant into a unique venue for the official weigh-in and media interviews.

This partnership not only showcased the flexibility of our facilities but also highlighted our commitment to supporting major sporting events that bring energy and visitors into the city. Hosting the athletes and media team allowed us to demonstrate the quality of our service while contributing to Sheffield’s reputation as a destination for world-class sport.

Izzy Assif, CEO of GBM Sports, said:
“Working with Best Western Sheffield City was seamless from start to finish. Their Sales Manager, Lilie, showed incredible professionalism and ensured everything ran smoothly. The athletes felt well looked after, and the setup for our media activities was first-class. Partnerships like this really help elevate our shows in Sheffield.”

At Best Western Sheffield City, we believe in building strong local partnerships that create impact beyond our hotel doors — strengthening the community, boosting the local economy, and celebrating everything Sheffield has to offer.
