Adding some Sheffield grit to the excitement of Krazy Races

31st March 2026

The team at Gritstone Financial Planning are leaving the security of the office for the excitement of the racing circuit after signing up for the Krazy Races Soapbox Derby.

The Krazy Races event comes to Sheffield city centre on June 21 and will be raising money for South Yorkshire youth homelessness charity Roundabout.

And the Gritstone team are determined to cross the finish line in a colourful day of family fun, fairground rides, food and drink stalls, and live entertainment.

They have already shared some early ideas and designs for their vehicle with the Roundabout team and plan to start work on building their soapbox after purchasing a chassis for delivery to the company’s Park Hill offices.

“We are so excited that Gritstone will be taking part alongside so many fantastic businesses, all helping to raise vital funds to support the essential work we do at Roundabout, providing help and hope to over 500 young people every day,” said Roundabout Partnership Manager Chetna Raniga-Jogia.

“It was great to visit the team and see all the behind the scenes work that is already going on.

“And while we will not be sharing any of their secrets, their soapbox designs look incredible and we cannot wait to see them in action.”

Teams on the day will be made up of local businesses, schools, and community groups, making Sheffield Krazy Races a true city-wide celebration.

Team entry fees and sponsorship money from the Sheffield Krazy Races will go directly to Roundabout, ensuring that every soapbox on the track helps transform young people’s lives in Sheffield.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available, giving local businesses the chance to support Roundabout while gaining exposure to thousands of spectators.
