Air-Masters live up to their name in Master Cutler Skydive challenge
31st August 2016
Two brave Airmaster staff are taking to the air themselves this weekend- in aid of this year's Master Cutler Challenge for Rotherham and St Luke's Hospice.
Hallam graduate, mechanical design engineer James Dawson (23) of Kelham Island is the most recent recruit at the fast growing mechanical services company based in Swallownest, starting five months ago. He will be joined by project engineer Nathan Williamson (29) of Beighton who has been with Airmaster for 11 years since starting as an apprentice. James was the first to sign up after President Engineering Group offered places on their skydive challenge to business contacts. -I emailed our new MD Lisa to find out more and signed up immediately, smiled James. -I've never done anything like it before, but my house mate had done a skydive for charity and encouraged me to go for it. I'm looking forward to it- so far my excitement and the £350 I've raised so far, is overcoming my nerves at jumping from 13,000 feet! His colleague Nathan was also up for the challenge, taking place this Sunday 28 August at noon from the Hibaldstow airfield in Lincolnshire and has raised almost £800 already. -The biggest challenge I have taken part in, was rock climbing and abseiling with school when I was 13! I'm scared of heights but I wanted to raise £1000 for St Luke's in memory my lovely great auntie Mary spending her last days there- the staff were so fantastic. What better way than to jump out of a plane to do so? Both intrepid skydivers can be sponsored online or by contacting Airmaster on 0114 2889911 http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/JamesDawsonSkydive
