ALD Print - new Roland LEF-12 a digital screen-print machine

29th February 2012

ALD Print, are Sheffield printers based on Sharrow Vale Road.

They are proud to have been printing on paper for over 20 years They believe they have survived the recession so far by probably two facts: · Firstly good service, described by one of their customers as outstanding · Secondly by investing in the latest technology, at the end of 2011 ALD was able to purchase a new Roland LEF-12 a digital screen-print machine 'We attended a 'Green Networking' meeting hosted by Sheffield Chamber to meet with other professionals 'The event was extremely informative and put me in touch with the relevant experts in the fields I required' This meeting directed ALD to Co2 sense who in turn provide the company with advice and guidance and ultimately the funding to allow the purchase of the new machinery. "What is great about this machine is it ticks all the boxes", says Director Alistair Lofthouse There is no need for screens or plates making it good for the environment No ink is wasted and the fumes associated with screenprinting are non existent The company are now looking to train up their staff whom have had no previous screenprint experience in order to develop their skills The new machine gives ALD the ability to print low quantities which is a great advantage for customers as they would normally have to order large quantities of items say from 250 As well as printing all the usual promotional items, ALD can now print on wood, glass, sports goods, die cast toys and model trains ALD Print still provide their normal full printing service as they have done since 1989, but as Alistair points out: -In these times we do need to look to the future supplying new markets and supplying new services to our existing client base ''It's great we have developed our equipment and staff and been socially responsible at the same time''
