Alex Hynes appointed managing director for new Northern franchise

Sheffield Chamber of Commerce & Industry were very pleased to hear that Alex Hynes has been appointed to head up the new Arriva Trains Northern Rail franchise.

Peter Kennan, Chair of the Chamber's Transport Forum and a Partner at Hawsons Chartered Accountants said:  -Alex Hynes was appointed to the Managing Director's role of the existing Northern Rail franchise in 2013 and we are delighted that Arriva have appointed him to take the new franchise forward.  He is a likeable approachable person who is enthusiastic, listens and is prepared to put his head above the parapet, all the qualities of a good leader.  We wish him all the best in his new appointment.
