Are you a business looking to hire a middle manager? Whether you are a multi-chain company or a family-owned business, the BBC want to hear from you

15th July 2015

Research has shown that some large corporates are embracing forms of 'Collaborative Hiring' in their recruitment process.

As such, instead of traditional management interviews, companies are now employing methods, which allow their staff to get involved in successful recruitment. In The Candidate (working title), the BBC want to conduct a positive experiment for companies to see whether this relatively new and innovative way of hiring can be a real plus for their business. Working with leading industry experts, the programme hopes, through a process of 'on-the-job' immersion by potential candidates, the whole or part of the workforce will come together to consider and ultimately help recruit for that job. The intention is that each episode will feature a single company, undertaking the Collaborative Hiring approach. In the series, the BBC intend to film with a cross section of businesses from across UK industry. Presently, it is envisaged that filming of each episode will be over a period of one to two weeks.
