SFSY Art of the Possible Events encourage businesses to take advantage of the financial support and advice available and increase business productivity On Wednesday 28th February 2018 17:00 - 20:00, in partnership with The Sheffield Innovation Programme (SIP) and Sheffield Hallam University, Superfast South Yorkshire (SFSY) have organised their forthcoming Art of the Possible technology event at The Hallam Restaurant.
Art of the Possible is a series of events which have been arranged by the SFSY team, the main aim of the events is to advise businesses on how to be more efficient and productive and understand what it means to innovate. "Using technology creates the platform to realize true business success and using business software ensures organisations have the tools to overcome the challenges of executing on strategy every day and prospering in today's economic times", said Natalie Ward Superfast South Yorkshire, Broadband Programme Manager. 'Increased business productivity can be traced to the automation of processes allowing for faster communication of strategy, increased time spent on strategic priorities and greater project completion rate'. The aim of the events is to showcase the full range of business capability and applications to SMEs and to offer the opportunity to claim funding towards an upgrade in connectivity or to introduce new innovations. The Art of the Possible events have showcase practices and demonstrations around capability and consumption, the idea is to inspire businesses to explore new digital technologies and innovations, social media, mobile, and data analytics. It is really important that small businesses embrace digital transformation for growth and to remain competitive. This point is reinforced in the recent 'Unlocking Regional Growth', a report published by the Confederation of British Industry. The report clearly states that the UKs regional digital infrastructure is preparing for the challenges of tomorrow and that these changes are pivotal to increase business productivity. The report also highlights that the UK takes the top place globally for Ecommerce, and is in fifth place for the availability of technology it ranks 14th in the world for company level adoption of digital technology as firms struggle to keep up with the pace of technological change. This digital divide is holding back the UK economy and since the financial crisis, only London and the South East have seen GDP per head rise above pre-crisis level. The most productive area of the UK is now almost three times more productive than the least. "The Sheffield Innovation Programme (SIP) and Sheffield Hallam University are pleased to be a part of this event, innovation is a key catalyst for growth for the businesses in our region, we offer support to SME's in the Sheffield city region to help them to innovate and we look forward opening our doors and further discussions about the opportunities to collaborate", Alison Money Events Development Manager, Sheffield Innovation Programme Programme: Wednesday 28th February 2018 17:00 - 20:00 Win/Soft Drinks & Canapes on Arrival 17:45 19:00 Presentations 19:00 20:00 Networking over Buffet Speakers: Welcome & Introductions: Sharon Jandu, TechATP (Microsoft Partner) Mark Phillips, Head of Design Futures at Sheffield Hallam Asif Moghal, Manufacturing & Industry Manager Autodesk Cam Spilman Co- Founder & MD Paper Dr Roy Woodhead former CEO Internet Of Things and now Senior Lecturer in Digital Construction & Innovation Alison Money: Sheffield Innovation Programme (SIP) Q&A Panel Session Please accept your free place and click here to book Or contact Sharon Jandu for more information Tel: 07807 474885
