Aspiration Day Returns for 4th Year Following Success

Following the huge success of Aspiration day over the last three years, Sheffield Park Academy will be holding their fourth annual 'Aspiration Day' on Friday 26th January 2018.

Last year saw 1,000 students attend the event but due to this year's event being on a school day we can guarantee attendance from 1,000 Sheffield Park Academy students and we hope to attract over 200 students and their families from the other cluster and local schools. Aspiration Day this year will be the culmination of a programme of work to raise not only aspiration but the cultural capital of students within United Learning in Yorkshire. This year's programme and timings will be in the following format. 8.30 9.30am onwards Exhibitors arrive and set up Breakfast served to exhibitors 10.15am 11.15am Selected Year 7 and Year 8 students attend the conference hall 11.30am 12.30pm Year 9 students attend the conference hall 12.30pm 1.30pm Year 10 students attend the conference hall 2.10pm 3.05pm Year 11, VI Form and partner Academies to attend the conference hall. 3.05pm 4.30pm Parents/ carers invited to accompany their children around the conference hall. 4.30pm 5.00pm Clean up and dispersal. Here at Sheffield Park Academy we would greatly appreciate your help in recruiting representatives from local / national businesses to attend the event. This could be by bringing a stall with information about how you may recruit graduates and trainees within your business and delivering information about the types of different work that you do. Exhibitors are also encouraged to run a short workshop at their stand if they see fit. Students will be free to walk around the rest of the space in a market place exhibition type set up, being free to speak to one and all.
