Award winning partnership gives Yorkshire businesses a voice

Local businesses Onyx Group and Active Voice & Data are celebrating after being announced as winners of the -Private Cloud Solution of the Year award at the recent Unify annual partner conference in London.

The award was in recognition of the innovative measures displayed in the delivery of an all-in-one hosted communications solution for South Yorkshire Credit Union (SYCU). The two firms enabled SYCU to adapt to fluctuations in call volume and allow them to process conferencing, voicemail, and call routing through a virtualised private branch exchange. Designed and implemented by Active Voice & Data, the solution was hosted within Onyx Group's nearby ISO 27001 accredited Yorkshire Data Centre. Unify, a joint venture between private equity firm The Gores Group and Siemens AG, the largest engineering company in Europe, recognised that as one of the leading IT infrastructure & support suppliers in the UK, Onyx Group were able to provide Active Voice & Data with unrivalled levels of resilience, security and availability for the telecoms platform developed for SYCU.
