BDO launches new cloud based InTouch service

30th June 2015

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP in Yorkshire has launched a new accounting service to mid-market corporates and fast growth SMEs.

The new service, BDO InTouch, is underpinned by cloud accounting technology to provide businesses with access to current business performance information which can be viewed anytime and anywhere. Advisers at BDO will see the same information, allowing them to spot issues and opportunities as soon as they arise and then provide proactive advice to help them to make better informed decisions. BDO InTouch is delivered by BDO's Business Services and Accounting practice, providing access to a range of accountancy and business advisory services from management accounts and reporting to bookkeeping and from finance department outsourcing to business planning and advisory. BDO in Yorkshire will be part of a national network of offices across the UK delivering BDO InTouch. Morag Miller, a director at BDO LLP in Yorkshire, and Business Services and Accounting leader in the region explains: -Today, businesses are working in a dynamic, competitive marketplace fuelled by fast moving data and they are demanding better, up-to-date information at their fingertips wherever they may be along with access to proactive expert advice. -Traditionally, many accountants simply provide clients with information based on the annual compliance process but this does not necessarily deliver the information companies need. -BDO InTouch provides companies with the information and advice they need to manage, develop and grow their businesses. It gives businesses up-to-date financial information at their fingertips, eliminating the reliance on historical financial data and allowing them to not only plan for the future but respond more effectively and efficiently to the here and now. Morag adds: -The new offering seamlessly connects clients and their advisers with current business performance information from multiple sources. Whether that be sales figures by business segment, stock levels by location, performance against budget or current cash position, allowing them to make more informed decisions and, importantly, highlight potential issues before they become problems. -BDO has a deep understanding of the challenges facing mid-market and growing companies, with a long history of supporting and advising them, and the launch of BDO InTouch will not only enhance our accounting and advisory offering, but will let us redefine what exceptional client service is.
